How to Use Tomore 6120 Hearing Aids: A Simple Guide

The Tomore 6120 hearing aid is designed for ease of use, comfort, and everyday listening.

As a 16-channel digital OTC hearing aid, the 6120 supports simple one-button operation, multiple listening modes, rechargeable use, and a lightweight wearing experience. Whether you are using it at home, outdoors, in conversations, or while watching TV, this guide will help you understand how to get started.

What’s Included in the Box?

The Tomore 6120 package includes everything needed for daily use and basic maintenance:

  • OTC hearing aids × 2

  • Charging case × 1

  • USB cable × 1

  • Cleaning brush × 1

  • Ear tips × 10

  • Wax guards × 8

  • Tips card × 1

  • User manual × 1

  • Lanyard × 1

The hearing aids are pre-assembled with M-size ear tips, but users can choose from different sizes to find the most comfortable and secure fit.

Product Overview

Each Tomore 6120 hearing aid includes:

  • Ear tip

  • Hand shank

  • Multi-function button

  • Microphone

  • Charging contacts

The charging case includes a charging port and a front LED digital display that shows the power status of the case and hearing aids.

Key battery information:

  • Working time: approximately 16 hours

  • Full charging time: approximately 2 hours

  • Charging case recycle charging: approximately 5 times

  • Comprehensive duration: approximately 105 hours

This makes the 6120 suitable for daily use and convenient charging at home or while traveling.

Step 1: Choose the Right Ear Tips

Choosing the correct ear tips is important for comfort, sound quality, and feedback control.

The 6120 comes with multiple ear tip sizes. If the ear tips are too loose or too large, users may experience discomfort, weak sound, or whistling.

To choose the right size:

  1. Start with the pre-installed M-size ear tips.

  2. Insert the hearing aids gently into the ear canal.

  3. Check whether the fit feels stable and comfortable.

  4. If the fit is too loose, try a larger size.

  5. If it feels too tight, try a smaller size.

A proper fit can help reduce whistling and improve sound clarity.

Step 2: Power On and Power Off

The Tomore 6120 can be turned on and off in two ways.

Power On

You can turn on the hearing aids by:

  • Taking them out of the charging case, or

  • Pressing and holding the multi-function button for 5 seconds

When powered on, the hearing aids will play a signal sound:
“Du…Du…Du…Du…Du”

Power Off

You can turn off the hearing aids by:

  • Placing them back into the charging case, or

  • Pressing and holding the multi-function button for 5 seconds

When powered off, the hearing aids will play a signal sound:
“Du…Du…Du”

For daily use, placing the hearing aids back into the charging case is the easiest way to turn them off and recharge them.

Step 3: Adjust the Volume

The Tomore 6120 supports 5 levels of volume.

To adjust the volume, short press the multi-function button. The volume changes in a cycle from the lowest level to the highest level, and then returns to the lowest level.

Volume cycle:

  • Volume 1

  • Volume 2

  • Volume 3

  • Volume 4

  • Volume 5

  • Back to Volume 1

Tip: Start at a lower volume and increase gradually until the sound feels clear and comfortable.

Avoid using unnecessarily high volume for long periods. The goal is not simply louder sound, but comfortable and clear listening.

Step 4: Switch Listening Modes

The Tomore 6120 includes three listening modes for different environments.

To switch modes, press and hold the multi-function button for 3 seconds.

Each mode is confirmed by “Du” tone signals.

Mode 1: General Mode

Signal: One “Du”

Best for:
Daily listening environments such as home conversations, TV watching, quiet gatherings, and general indoor use.

Benefit:
Provides balanced amplification for most everyday scenarios.

Mode 2: Noise Reduction Mode

Signal: “Du. Du”

Best for:
Noisier environments such as outdoor areas, parties, public spaces, airplanes, or places with more background sound.

Benefit:
Helps reduce environmental noise and supports clearer voice listening.

Mode 3:Tinnitus Masking Mode

Signal: “Du. Du. Du”

Best for:
Users who want tinnitus masking support while still hearing surrounding sounds.

Benefit:
Provides a masking sound with lighter amplification, allowing users to remain aware of their environment and communicate with people nearby without removing the hearing aids.

Step 5: Understand the Charging Display

The charging case has a digital display that shows real-time battery information.

The display includes:

  • Charging case battery percentage

  • Left hearing aid battery status

  • Right hearing aid battery status

On the display:

  • L represents the left hearing aid.

  • R represents the right hearing aid.

  • Each square represents approximately 25% battery level.

  • A scrolling light indicates charging in progress.

  • A solid light indicates charging is complete.

  • A flashing number on the case display means the charging case is charging.

  • A stable number means the charging case is fully charged.

This makes it easy to check whether the hearing aids and case are ready for use.

Step 6: How to Wear the Hearing Aids

The left and right hearing aids are marked separately:

  • L for left ear

  • R for right ear

How to Put On the Left Hearing Aid

  1. Hold the left hearing aid and confirm the hand shank is facing upward.

  2. Slowly insert the hearing aid along the auricle into the ear canal.

  3. Adjust the angle and gently push it deeper until it feels firm and comfortable.

  4. Shake the hearing aid slightly from side to side to ensure a secure fit.

How to Put On the Right Hearing Aid

  1. Hold the right hearing aid and confirm the hand shank is facing upward.

  2. Slowly insert the hearing aid along the auricle into the ear canal.

  3. Adjust the angle and gently push it deeper until it feels firm and comfortable.

  4. Shake the hearing aid slightly from side to side to ensure a secure fit.

A secure fit helps improve sound performance and reduce whistling.

Step 7: How to Remove the Hearing Aids

To remove the hearing aids:

  1. Pinch the hand shank at the end of the hearing aid.

  2. Gently pull the hearing aid out of the ear.

  3. Avoid pulling too quickly or twisting aggressively.

  4. Place the hearing aids back into the charging case after use.

This helps protect the device and keeps it charged for the next use.

Step 8: Cleaning the Hearing Aids

Regular cleaning helps maintain sound quality and extend product life.

To clean the hearing aids:

  1. Turn the sound outlet face down.

  2. Use the cleaning brush to remove dirt from the ear tips.

  3. Use a clean wipe or soft cloth to remove smudges or oil stains.

  4. Keep the charging contacts clean and dry.

Do not rinse the hearing aids with water.

Moisture, earwax, oil, and dust may affect sound output, charging performance, and long-term reliability.

Step 9: Replace the Wax Guard

The wax guard helps protect the sound outlet from earwax blockage.

To replace the wax guard:

  1. Remove the ear tip.

  2. Use the tip of the wax guard tool to remove the old wax guard.

  3. Use the round end of the wax guard tool to install a new wax guard.

  4. Reinstall the ear tip.

If the sound becomes weak or intermittent, the wax guard or ear tip may need cleaning or replacement.

Five volume levels

Three modes
No instructions on how to change.
I’m guessing short press to change volume upwards and long press to change mode?

Have 6120 hearing aids. Worked well for 3 days but now despite showing both fully charged they will not switch on. Have tried several times but still not getting any response when I press the on button. Please advise asap as I wish to carry on using them and was very pleased with them at first. How do I get them to work?
